2024: Hidden Gardens

2024: Hidden Gardens  Saturday June 1st, 11.00-17.00

Hadleigh is a medieval wool town in South Suffolk, about 10 miles from Ipswich and 15 miles from Colchester. We expect around 25 gardens to be open this year.

The gardens cover many styles and layouts, and range from large through to smaller, some old and some very new. Plenty to inspire everybody!
Some gardens will be offering refreshments and plant sales as well.

Entry by programme, £6 per adult. Children under 14 free of charge.

Parking. There is good parking in the main Hadleigh car parks. Parking may also be possible near some of the gardens, although parking is difficult in Benton Street. (Not possible at Benton End)

Disabled Access. Most gardens are easily accessible, and individual garden notes explain the situation at each property. Hazards may include steps, steep/narrow/uneven paths and pea shingle, and water or river frontage.

Dogs are admitted on a lead with the garden owner's consent.

Toilets. These will be found at St Mary’s Church, at Magdalen Road Car Park, and at some of the Gardens, indicated on the accompanying notes.

A full Farmers’ Market will be held in the Market Place, run by Suffolk Market Events. There will be a number of garden-related and other artisan stalls, and  several food and drink outlets.
